South Santee Aquaculture, Inc. began in 1990 provding commercial pond management services to east coast of South Carolina.  Realizing they wanted to use a natural approach to their business, the began raising tilapia as a solution to aquatic weeds and algae for thier pond management customers.  By 2006, the company had expanded to offering expert assistance to clients nationwide with a full line of "eco-friendly" water management products and consultation services.  "Coaching and helping others on how to work hand in hand with Mother Nature to manage water without chemicals has become our unique forte'," states Kevin Hutchinson, CEO.  Our product lines compliment the "Water Trifecta" methodology of combining oxygen with ultrasound and beneficial bacteria.  The product line also extends to include custom polymer solutions and aquatic wetlands and carpets for water clarity and phosphate/nutriend reduction.  We also supply an alternative and safer answer to algaecides that are ANSI/NSF Standards compliant.

Our Charleston based commercial field team offers a full line of fountains and aeration systems with experienced technicians in our repair and warranty shop.  Other services, aquatic weed control, and fish stocking for ponds, lakes, reservoirs and more.  Through our monthly service contracts, we manage thousands of acres of ponds and akes, while helping create balanced  eco-systems and establish effective, manageable aquatic buffer zoes.  These buffers inhibit wastewater and storm water run-off pollutants fromentering and destroying our pristine natural aquatic breeding grounds.

As a society, we have the vital responsibility of maintaining bodies of waters to ensure not only overall aesthetic beauty but more importantly, preventing harmful pollutants, infestation of aquatic weeds and algae from destroying healthy water supplies within our communities.  South Santee Aquaculture, Inc. provides full service maintenance programs to commercial facilities (i.e.hospitals, office buildings and treatment centers). Home Owners Associations, Apartment complexes and commercial development properties.

In addition to pond management, some of the other services provided are in the areas of fountain, bottom surface aeration sales, installation and repairs; aquascaping and all aspects of fish stocking and professional consultation.  We use advanced testing equipment and techniques to accurately assess water quality. Our basic water test is free for new customers with purchase of any other product or service on the first visit.  This includes checking Alkalinity,Carbon Dioxide, Dissolved Oxygen, Hardness, pH Temperature and Turbidity.
